This is a beautiful print of an ethereal seascape done in watercolor and ink. The water scene is painted in a variety of blue and green tones, including cerulean and peacock tones; this makes for a stunning combination. The ‘ocean’ and ‘sky’ is done using a watercolor technique where water is the primary medium. After water is added to the paper, the color is dropped into the water spots creating a unique, floating, ethereal effect on the paper. The lighthouse and sailboat are later added with the ink once the watercolor is dry. Splashes of white paint simulate water splashing on the shore.
